Please bring money for food. We will eat between 7:00pm & 9:30pm.

We Are Dwyer “Go Fund Me” Campaign

This year our band operating costs have increased due to various reasons. We are needing a lot of funds to help us with our instrument and equipment repairs. Our instruments are getting a little worn and need some work.

So to offset these added costs that our fair share does not cover, we have set up a Go Fund Me account thru our We Are Dwyer website. Our campaign is to raise $5000 for these added costs and we have until October 23 to raise these funds!

Please circulate this link to all your family and friends as soon as possible so that we can meet our goal of $5000 by October 23.

Monday, October 17 from 5pm – 9pm is Chipotle Giveback.

50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Band!! That is an amazing giveback so we need to tell the world about this event.

Marching Band Practice Friday, October 21st

We will have band rehearsal from 9:00 am to 12:00. We have missed a couple of days because of weather and need to make final adjustments before our evaluation performance.

Marching Season Practice Schedule (August-December):

Marching Band & Color Guard: Tuesday & Thursday 4-7 p.m.
Jazz Band: Wednesday 3-4:30 p.m.
Community Band: Wednesday 7-9 p.m.

This week in band

Our next home game is this Friday, October 14 against Royal Palm Beach. It is also Senior Night and Middle School night. We will be hosting both Independence and Duncan Middle School band students and will be serving them pizza and dessert. I ask that everyone donate dessert for this event. The pizza will be covered by the band. I will need at least 8 parents to come at 5pm to help set up. We plan on serving the students around 5:30. Also needed are stand volunteers. Please sign up in Charms for these positions. It is important that you input your information into the volunteer section in Charms so that we can plan the help accordingly. This is a very important event for us as this is how we grow our band for next year and we want to honor our Seniors!

Since it is Senior Night, we will perform after the game. We would like to have all props on the field for this performance. So we would like all the parents that will be helping on Saturday be available to bring the props on the field Friday night.

Dwyer Band Events

This Thursday, September 15 is our Band booster Meeting at 6:30 in the Band Room. We have some important information to distribute regarding Band Competitions, Fundraiser’s etc. This meeting is the only meeting that we will have prior to our Band Completions in October. So it will be very important to have parents at this meeting so we can go over the details of the Competitions.

Also on Thursday, we will be starting our Cheesecake Fundraiser. The Cheesecake Man will be at school to discuss with the kids this fundraiser and to hand out the brochures to collect orders. 40% of sales of this fundraiser will go towards the band students fair share. This is a great money maker. The product is anticipated for delivery the 1st or 2nd week of November which is great for the Holidays.

Friday, we have a home game against Palm Beach Lakes. For those chaperones who will be helping in the stands, you can arrive around 6 pm. For the chaperones who will be helping to set up the stadium, we require you to be here between 5pm – 5:30pm.

Thank you to  all the parents that came out to support the band and to help out in the stands. We had had a great turnout Friday night. The kids love it that they have parents that come to their functions.


Coupon Book Fundraiser 8/26 to 9/9

Coupon books will be available Thursday, August 25th during Mr Lamp’s 6th period, during Marching Band Practice from 5:00-7:30pm and Friday, August 26th, during Mr. Lamp’s 7th period.

One sample book will be given to each student that wants to sell to raise money for their fair share.

  • The cost of the book is $25.00.
  • Check to be made payable to Dwyer HS Bnd
  • Orders will not be filled unless payment is given

Selling cannot start until Friday, August 26th and it will Friday, September 9th. All monies are due on Friday, September 9th.

  3. Click School Cash Online
  4. Sign In. If you need to setup an account, go all the way to the bottom of the page and click Sign Up.
  5. If Fair Share does not show as an item, type Fair Share in the search box
  6. Click View in the Fair Share box. This will bring you to the screen where you can pick how much you want to pay. Example: $20.00 | Quatity 5 = $100.00

Good News: The cost of the FSU Trip went down

Mr. Lamp has worked his magic and got the cost of the trip down to $100.00 per student. All balances are due Friday, August 26th.

If you have already paid the full amount, the $20.00 will be credited back to your account.
